Reflection on Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.

Finished reading Dear John.
So my list of books this time I want to read :

- Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.
- A Walk To Remember.
- The Notebook.
- The Last Song.

I'm halfway through my goal.
12 more booooooooooooooooooooks and I finish my 20 books this year!!


Personal reflection on Dear John by Nicholas Sparks:
Started reading: 15 March 2010.
Finished reading: 17 March 2010.

Overall, this book is great. Seriously.
The long-distance relationship of Savannah and John.
The long-termed friendship of Savannah and Tim, that eventually became love.
After Savannah missed John so much, and only Tim was there to talk to her.
The way Savannah and John contacted each other, one in Lenior the other in Germany.

No matter how far apart they are, they still deeply love each other.
They were so deep in love that, each time they get back together.
Quarrels break out. Because of jealousy.

Finally, after a period of time. Savannah wrote a Dear John letter.
(A Dear John letter, is a letter to an absent boyfriend or husband. To breakup, divorce.)
She got married to Tim, who 2 years later had cancer.

Because of what Tim said to John.
John realised what love really was.
Not to be with the person you love.
Not to be happy with the person you love.
But to give happiness to the person you love.

John, sold the gold coin collections his father left behind.
And donated the money to Savannah and Tim, so that Tim can go for the treatment for his sickness.
Even so, John loved Savannah. But he was willing to give up things.
For Savannah to be happy.

The power of love, can be stronger than you imagine.
Really.

I may laugh, I may frown, I may cry. I don't see why that's different from others. Turning fourteen on 9th July this year. I've graduated from East View Primary in 2008, after spending 6 years of Primary education there. Currently in Damai Secondary of class 2E1. I live, a rather happy, sad, miserable yet exciting life. I may fear to say goodbye, but if I have to, I will. I'm selfish and bias. You may not like what I do, but this is who I am.
